According to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) the amount of contaminants within buildings may be 2-5 times and sometimes even 100 times greater than that found in the outdoor environment. Since most individuals spend about 90 % of their time inside, indoor air pollutants are ranked among the top 5 environmental dangers to the public. Common indoor air pollutants come from multiple sources and include such things as mold, bacteria, particulates, radon, carbon monoxide and volitile organic compounds produced by chemicals found within the indoor environment. Early warning signs that your facility may have issues adversely affecting the indoor air quality are complaints from occupants involving irritation of the eyes, nose and throat, headaches, dizziness, lethargy and fatigue. CIE can help provide solutions to your indoor air quality issues through comprehensive information gathered during an indoor air quality investigation. Additionally, CIE can inspect your buildings air conveyance systems to ensure cleanliness and proper operation as documented by the ASHRAE and NADCA standards. Indoor Air Quality Parameters Microbial
